The person experiences the pain in the upper abdomen or below the breast bone. Few people experience this pain during the mid night and some of them face this situation as soon as they finish their food. You can reduce the pain by taking rest or drinking milk. The other major symptoms of an ulcer in the stomach are loss of appetite and reduction of weight. Along with these symptoms there is likely a chance of facing blood in the stool, vomiting and passing black stool. Stomach ulcers affect the nerves that are surrounded with the stomach. Peptic ulcers are mainly treated with medicines that are prescribed by the medical practitioner. It is much better if you avoid smoking and consumption of alcohol. Try to avoid spicy food till your problem is completely solved. The use of medicines help in reducing the pain in the early stages of an ulcer. If the ulcer might have spread then the medicines cause more damage and discomfort to the stomach. Right and proper treatment helps in curing the ulcers with in short time ie., one or two months. Instead of going for self medicaation as soon as you observe the symptoms, it is better to consult the doctor for the correct medication and treatment. |
